Even for this role you don't need to know a lot about football - for the junior grade its all about having fun and being enthusiastic.
If you are new to coaching then the club provides a huge range of courses and resources to assist you:
Coach calendar available here
Playing regulations available here
Results:
The results of games must be emailed or phoned through (a text message would be ideal) to the grade coordinator as soon as possible after the game. The club is required to collate the results and forward them to Capital Football. Missing results may result in a fine by Capital Football.
Practice Sessions:
Please advise your grade coordinator of the time and location of your practice sessions – this is to avoid any double-up and also so that we can advise schools of the use of their grounds.
The city council may also close the grounds during the week to protect them from overuse – the number to call is 801-4134. If the council grounds are closed please assume that the school grounds are closed also.
Do not practice drills in the goalmouth areas – these suffer the most during the season and cannot stand additional wear and tear during practice sessions.
