Onslow College FC - Coaches Wanted

posted 22 Feb 2012 22:18 by Football Admin

Recognising the strength and the potential of football at Onslow College the school has set up a club structure to run the game from this year onwards. One of our primary objectives is to provide quality coaching for all teams. We therefore invite enquiries from talented coaches who would enjoy being part of a positive and progressive football programme at the college.

The school will field teams in the College Sport leagues for seniors and U-15s, boys and girls. (Please note that girls games are played mid-week.)

Enquiries and/or applications should be sent to:

football@onslow.school.nz; or Paul Jepson (President) on 232 9772.

Applications close 24 February 2012. We look forward to hearing from you.

Whole of Football - update from Information Evening

posted 13 Feb 2012 21:52 by Football Admin

Thanks again to the parents able to attend our information evening recently at Ngaio Town Hall.  For the parents who came to enquire about registering with the club, we trust you have been able to complete the online registration. If you have any queries on this please contact Julie Davidson our Registration Secretary.

As a follow up to the event, please find attached a presentation that summarises the changes being made with the implementation of the Whole of Football Plan by New Zealand Football. We would also like to acknowledge the assistance of Capital Football, who were present at the Information evening and who were able to answer questions asked.

For more information on the Whole of Football Plan, please refer to the Capital Football special website set up on this exciting new development. This we believe will further our players and we would note links in well with “The Onslow Way” initiative already in place at the club.

Should you have any questions on this, please refer to your Grade Coordinator or myself.

We hope you have remembered to register for the coming season via ClubHub.  If you have registered for grades 9-14 Saturday leagues, please note there is the option to attend the trials for the streamed teams.

We have again this year booked the Te Whaea Astro turf pitch in Hutchinson Road, Newtown for these.  There will be two trials for each of the grades, with these held on the weekends 3rd / 4th  March and 10th / 11th March.

Please see the schedule under For Parents/Grade Trials and remember you need to have completed registration including payment to attend trials.

Good luck for those players who decide to attend the trials.
